Communicate with you about products, services, offers, and events provided by SCMINFO and others, as well as provide news and information we think might interest you;

If you have asked us to send you information, purchased goods or services from us, or provided us with your details when participating in a competition or registering for a promotional event, we will send you marketing communications. If you opt-out of receiving marketing information, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as emails about your account or our ongoing business relations. We will obtain your consent before sharing your personal data with any third party for direct marketing.
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications using the link included in the messages we send. You can also request that we stop sending you marketing messages at any time by contacting us at: [email protected].
9. Sharing Your Personal Data
Generally, your personal data is kept within SCMINFO, but we may share your personal data in the following ways or as otherwise described in this privacy policy:
Internally within SCMINFO. We share your personal data amongst our legal entities within SCMINFO when necessary to fulfill a contract or pre-contractual measures, or when we have a legitimate interest or a legal obligation to do so.
With vendors, consultants, and other service providers. We may share your data when they provide services for us, such as data analytics, research, marketing, and financial services;
With our advertising partners. We may share your personal data to personalize your experience and tailor our services, products, marketing, and advertisements better, including on our services and their third-party websites. Our ad partners are companies that assist us in offering advertising to you. These companies might use their own tracking technologies to collect or acquire information about you. For more detail, see our “Cookie Policy” section.
During or in relation to negotiations of any merger, sale of company assets, or financing or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company;
Under certain circumstances, we may disclose or share your personal data without your consent to comply with a legal obligation, such as in compliance with a court order or law enforcement. In such situations, we only disclose your personal data when we believe, in good faith, that it’s necessary under applicable legal obligations.
Other sharing
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information which can’t reasonably be used to identify you (we’ll not try to re-identify de-identified information unless permitted or required by law). For instance, we might share aggregated or de-identified information with our advertising partners and service providers so that we and they understand how people use our services, aiding us in our business development, and improvement and development of our products and services.
We might also share a hashed version of your email address along with your information, so that we and our advertising partners can facilitate personalized ad campaigns and other promotions on our service and on other platforms. “Hashing” transforms your email into a series of unidentifiable numbers and letters (for instance, the “hashed” version of [email protected] would become [email protected]).
10. Retaining Your Personal Data
10.1 We will retain your personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes for which we collect it.
10.2 When deciding how long to keep your information, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, why we need it, and any relevant legal requirements (such as legal retention and destruction periods).
10.3 We may anonymize your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes.
11. Social Media Platforms and Other Third-Party Websites
11.1 Our websites and apps might include links to third-party websites, apps, and social media platforms (“Third-party Websites”). Clicking on these links may allow third parties to collect or share your data. We do not endorse or control these third-party websites, each of which is governed by its own terms of service and privacy policy. We encourage you to read their privacy policies and terms to understand how they handle information about you. We are not responsible for any damage or other harm that may occur when you leave SCMINFO and interact with third-party websites. Take all necessary protective measures to secure yourself, especially when downloading content or making purchases.
11.2 Our services might provide social sharing features and other integrated tools that let you share your actions on our services with your friends or the public on social media platforms. We also use the analytic tools offered by these social media platforms to help us understand how people interact with our social media presence, identify trends, and conduct joint promotional campaigns with these platforms. For example, we sometimes agree with social media platforms to jointly promote certain contents.
11.3 We receive aggregated statistical information from social media platforms regarding the performance of our posted and promoted content, such as the number of views and the types of viewers. These data are aggregated and anonymized by the social media platforms before being provided to us.
11.4 We also utilize the paid advertising and sponsored content tools provided by social media platforms to assist us in advertising campaigns for our advertisers and to promote our content on social media platforms. For instance, we use Pinterest’s “Promoted Pins” tool to promote our curated or sponsored content to visitors of Pinterest. Again, we only receive aggregated statistical information from social media platforms about the interactions with our advertisements and sponsored content, such as the number of views, the number of shares, etc.
11.5 We process the information provided by social media platforms based on our legitimate interests in interacting with audiences on social media and promoting our content on these platforms.

12. Cookie Policy
What are Cookies?
Cookies are small data text files used to identify your computer or device online. When you visit a website, a cookie is created and stored on your hard drive so that the website can recognize you while you are on that website. Some cookies are “session-based,” which means they disappear once you leave the website. Other cookies are “persistent,” meaning they stay on your device until you delete them, and they allow a website to recognize you each time you visit that website. Cookies are just one technology for collecting information online. A “web beacon,” also known as tags, pixel tags, or clear GIFs, is also used to transmit information back to a web server. When you interact with our mobile apps, we may use SDKs, which are like cookies, or we may use other identifiers to help us recognize your device. When we refer to “cookies” in this privacy policy, we mean not only cookies but also web beacons, SDKs, and similar technologies.
What Types of Cookies are on the Services?
First-Party Cookies. Our services use our own cookies to identify you and recognize you as a unique user.
Session Cookies remember you during your session on our services. They are deleted when you exit the service and close your web browser. We use session cookies to ensure that content is correctly displayed on the services, to balance and monitor the load on our servers, and to handle other technical issues closely related to the operation of our services. You can configure your device to refuse these cookies, but if you do so, our services may not work properly, or they may not work at all.
Consent Cookies are used by the consent management platform we employ to record your preference for the third-party cookies described below and to store and share your preferences with those third parties. These cookies are essential to both us and the third parties we have a business relationship with, to ensure that we ask for your consent, record your consent preferences, and take action based on those consent preferences.
Analytical Cookies. Analytical cookies are used by us and third parties who process data on our behalf (such as Google Analytics) for the purpose of data analysis, so that we can manage and improve the performance and design of our services, and for monitoring, auditing, researching, and reporting. We have activated the IP anonymization feature on our website by Google. This results in your IP address being truncated by Google within member states of the EU or in other countries that have signed the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. Google will use this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide us with other services related to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google. Information about how Google uses the collected data can be read here.
Third-Party Cookies: Advertising and Affiliate Links. Our advertising partners and our affiliate link partners collect your personal data via our cookie consent management platform, for the purposes they disclose through our cookie consent management platform.
Advertising partners include third-party ad servers, ad agencies, ad technology vendors, and research firms.
Affiliate Link partners pay us a fee when you buy from them or another third party after you click on an affiliate link in our content.
Our advertising partners use third-party cookies to serve ads to you, and to provide custom (or personalized) ads to you while you are using the services and while you are visiting third-party websites. They also use cookies to measure traffic on services (for example, to track ad views).
Advertising partners and affiliate link partners may look at, edit, or set their own cookies on your mobile device or web browser when you interact with our services. They use cookies to track your usage of our services and your activities across other online platforms. We provide links to their privacy policies in our consent management platform, which you can access by clicking here.
What Information Do Cookies Collect?
Cookies and similar technologies allow us to collect the following types of personal data: a unique ID assigned to your device; IP address; device and browser type; operating system; referral URLs; content viewed or other actions taken through our services; the timing and date of these actions; preferred country and language.
What choices do you have?
Browsers and devices provide tools that allow you to disable cookies. If you disable cookies, you may not be able to access all the features of our services. We recommend keeping our essential cookies active for a better user experience and to help us continually improve and develop our products and services. You can decide who is allowed to set third-party cookies on your browser or device by going to our consent preference center. You can return to it at any time to change your mind and revisit your consent choices.
